1982. DOA were four great big guys who were super nice, super intelligent and kicked the living shit out of everybody there. They were touring their "War on 45" record at the time. Next night they played at the Calderon Ballroom in Phoenix where things got really heated up.

The band got to see the Sonoran Desert that surrounds Tucson, with its magical giant cactus, for their very first time. Dave tried to climb a giant Saguaro Cactus like it was a tree. Thats about the craziest thing I've ever heard anyone do in the desert. And I've heard of/witnessed just about it all.

This flyer was drawn by Zach Hitner. There was another for this gig, done by Karen.

Listen to a Conflict track recorded this night here.
